Sometimes the light in my backyard porch when I’m grilling some BBQ for an evening treat is not enough for me to see well how things are cooking. Another annoyance is when the porch light is somewhere behind me when I’m facing the grill, causing shadows that block my view even more. Have you faced a similar situation? The Grilluminator Barbecue Grill Light is a nice solution to this problem.
The Grilluminator, as it is called, (an interesting name I must say, combining “grill” and “illumination” for light) is powered by 3 AA batteries, which comes included (I always give a thumbs up to appliances or electronics that come with batteries).
The Grilluminator features an adjustable “clasp” to mount to parts of the grill where you see fit to do its purpose — mainly the handle where it does not get too hot, as it can possibly burn, melt, or be destroyed if attached elsewhere. In my case, I tested it on the handle as it was made specifically for that. You can see a photo of the “clasp” below that you can adjust, depending on the width of your grill’s handle.
The light output is decent, bright, and on the whiter spectrum (not a yellow/orange light), so you can see what’s being BBQ’d better. That is due to 10 LED lights that provide a good source of illumination. The Grilluminator is also adjustable, you can twist up and down, or side to side, 180 degrees, as needed to direct the light accordingly — which is a very handy feature to have.
The Grilluminator is not too bad of an idea really. I’ll use it as needed when I barbecue and have guests come over at night for some delicious BBQ treats.
By the way, another idea I thought of, was using this as a portable light attachment for my bicycle during evening rides… but that’s another story.
The package label mentions an iron-clad, no hassle, lifetime money-back guarantee, so my satisfaction is at least assured. You can find the Grilluminator on Amazon.com, where it’s currently being offered at a 42% discount.
