The oblong-shaped diffuser looks like some kinda spaceship, giving it an interesting look. It’s got a hole on the top where the mist is released. Powered on with the blue lights, it looks like a UFO ship that’s ready to launch, doesn’t it? If you look closely at the photo, you’ll actually see the cloudy mist blowing off the top of the unit. This mist and the blue light lining the circumference of the diffuser and the top hole just gives it a look that is out of this world.

What I like about it is that it is actually quiet. I can definitely see the mist, especially against a dark backdrop, but I barely hear any noise from this Oak Leaf Essential Oil Aroma Diffuser.

The unit itself is a little over 8 inches long, about 6 inches wide, and 3 inches high. If you have kids at home, they might think this is one cool toy. I guess it’s a good idea to remind that what it is so they won’t play with it and destroy the unit by accident. By first glance, they might think this whole thing will fly! LOL

It’s really simple to use, and the included instruction manual is helpful. Here’s what I did to get it going:

– I removed the top cover. The top half of the diffuser unit comes off easily. There is no locking mechanism that you need to press. Just a simple lift and the cover will come off.

– I added tap water from the sink to the bottom half of the unit, using the included measuring cup for accuracy. REMEMBER: You have to add water first before the next step. The manual cautions about this.

– I added a couple of drops of essential oil. The essential oil is not included, but you can find essential oils with different “flavors” at your local stores: such as Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, GNC, or your favorite spa place. If you have a local gift shop or candle retailer, more than likely they’ll have some too.

– I connected the power cord to the back of the unit and plugged it to the wall.

– I turned on the unit by pressing the buttons in front of the diffuser. NOTICE: I’m adding this in case it happens to you too. Just in case you press the button, but see no action, don’t worry. Just press the other button and see if you can finally get going. I thought mine was broken because the instruction on the manual told me to press a specific button to turn the blue lights on and the other button to turn on the misting feature — but nothing happened. I found out that everything was working well. Where the manual specified left, it was actually the right button on my unit (and vice versa). This might not happen to yours, but I wanted to give you a heads-up, just in case. I don’t know if it’s just a production mishap. Nonetheless, the unit I received worked well as far as it’s purpose is concerned.

Getting it going is really that simple! There are maintenance instructions on the manual too, so make sure you go over those important instructions.

There is also contact details in the card insert that I have mentioned in the beginning, for future reference. The product comes with a 1-year warranty, which is a relief.

If I could make any suggestions, I would wish that the Oak Leaf Essential Oil Aroma Diffuser have a timer built-in. This way, I can set it and leave it alone to do the job. However, the only problem with this wish is that the manual cautions against leaving any leftover liquid in the compartment, as it may damage the diffuser. Maybe an upgrade in the future will consider both of this. Of course, for that timer feature I’d be paying more… so I guess we can leave it the way it is for now and save money… Heh-he-heh! I can’t complain.
