I almost totaled this package of Bright Therapy Trident SR11AR while I was backing up my car into the garage. This is, of course, no fault of the seller, but I was certainly upset at the delivery man for leaving this in the driveway early in the evening where I don’t expect it to be located (sunset was about 5-something in our area, after the daylight savings time changes), rather than leaving the package in the front porch of our home where it would be more secure.

However, I am glad (much to my relief) that the Bright Therapy Trident SR11AR and its accessories did not sustain any damage from this incident (although the box material that contained the items was flatted on one side). Maybe the product is made of strong solid plastic LOL!

The package comes with the following:

– 3 detachable LED light heads

– power adapter
– protective eye cover

The Bright Therapy Trident SR11AR is cordless, which makes it very portable and convenient to use — without worrying about cumbersome wires that can get tangled up while using. Just make sure you charge it well prior to each use. The manual recommends charging overnight before using. The power socket for the charger is located at the bottom of the unit’s handle. Just connect the power cord to the socket as shown:

The instruction manual is not to hard to follow, with about 5 pages of instructional material. It includes a Q&A section, which I found useful because it contained some answers to questions I myself had about the Bright Therapy Trident product.

What I like about the Bright Therapy Trident SR11AR is that it comes with detachable LED heads that you can use, depending on the needs that you have at the moment. If you anticipate multiple skin care needs, then this solution works perfectly for that! As far as I know, LED lights should not be a health hazard (I have LED lights in my home), if the concern is exposure. Make sure you read the instruction booklet because it explains what each light frequency is best used for.

The good news is that the detachable LED heads are also colored with the type of light they emit, which makes it easy to distinguish from each other: Red, Blue, and Green. To detach a head, push the button on the side (located just above the “power” and the “mode” buttons); this will release the head. Just pull it out and replace with the LED head of your choice.

The back of the head has notches on the design that fits into the unit to secure them.

Once the head is secure, press the “Power” button to turn the unit on. Pressing the “Mode” button allows you to change the light settings: light pulsates/blinks or light stays on constantly.

There is a spot on the back of my neck that is about 1-inch or so in diameter that I wanted particularly to try this on. I don’t know what kind of skin condition it is exactly, but I’m hoping that the Bright Therapy Trident SR11A-R can take care of that problem. I don’t think it’s contagious, but I don’t want to gross anybody out either! I thought perhaps it was a fungal infection, but it didn’t respond to anti-fungal ointments. I also just finished a 30-day anti-fungal oral prescription from a doctor, but the medications didn’t clear it out. I’m hoping this product will take care of this matter. I didn’t want to use the Trident SR11A-R at the same time while I was taking the oral treatment because then it would be hard to tell which one of them took care of the problem if any. Now that the oral route is completed, I can try this light therapy alternative.

*NOTE: I will keep this post updated with results once I complete the light therapy treatment. From what I read in the manual, this could be anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, or as little as 1 to 3 weeks. We’ll see how it goes with me.

I’m planning to see a dermatologist as a last resort, if everything else fails.
