The DRI WASH ‘n GUARD Waterless Car Wash promises to do just that… to give your car a freshly-washed look without your vehicle actually ever having to be washed with soap and water. The question is, is that really possible? There’s only one way to find out!

Well here’s my kit of DRI WASH ‘n GUARD Waterless Car Wash which arrived rather quickly and was packaged well. There were no issues with the delivery of the package, which was via USPS (although I am not a big fan of the USPS delivery system; I just prefer UPS or FedEx anytime).

The kit comes complete with the DRI WASH ‘n GUARD Classic Waterless Car Wash solution, 2 towels, and a spray head. (Mine does not include the Pumper, as shown on their website; I have the Classic Bundle kit).

Before you get started, make sure you connect the spray head first before using the solution. I saved the original cap, in case it was needed for storage in the future. The sprayer helps to distribute the solution evenly on your car. The spray end of the sprayer needs to be twisted to the right position so that you can spray out of the bottle.

I’m going to be honest with you… I was skeptical about the whole thing! First of all, I’ve never heard of “washing” the car without actually washing the car! I mean, who doesn’t wash without soap and water? Will my car look clean and polished as advertised? How about the damage from scratching?!

Before I go any further, let me show you a photo of my unwashed car. Notice the dust and dirt. You’re looking at about 2 1/2 weeks worth of accumulation, driving about 60 miles per day for 3 days a week minimum…

I was scared of scratching the car from all the dirt on it… but I figured the only way to find out if this stuff works is to actually do it. I wanted to start in a small area first, so I decided to begin at the outer sides of the hood (right side, in this photo). The instruction on the bottle suggests testing first in an inconspicouous area, but I went straight for the hood!

Was the risk worth it? Well, look at the photo and you be the judge!

Worked pretty well to me! I was so impressed with the results that I decided to keep going towards the middle section. I think from the photo below, it is obvious to see which one was cleaned up with the DRI WASH ‘n GUARD solution. Notice the dust and dirt in the uncleaned areas… That’s a big difference! You can really tell…

By this time, my face was grinning! Looking back at the first photo of the original hood, I think you’ll understand why.

I think it’s safe for me to say, it DEFINITELY WORKS! This product is awesome!

Now first, let me just remind you that this is just from using my car regularly for work and errands. I didn’t use this car for off-roading, so if you have so much dirt on your car, I probably wouldn’t use this straight away. If that’s your case, then I suggest rinsing your car first with your garden hose to get rid of some of the dirt. Allow it to dry, then use this solution afterwards.
