What is Good About the iMustech Car Air Vent Phone Holder
We recently traveled 6 hours for a wedding and this hasn’t disappointed. It held my wife’s smartphone/GPS without issues and was stable. Based on others I’ve tried in the past, I prefer this type now more than the other car mount option that you just slide into the air vent of your car. The iMustech Phone Holder Car Air Vent Mount works in a similar fashion but is actually more secure because the part that goes into the air vent clips on to one of the vents (as opposed to just inserting it in without any additional supports). It is much more stable that way.
The longer “arm” of the iMustech also allows for more clearance to angle the mount to your preference, so the electronic device can face you better.
The alternative option of other styles only allows for landscape or portrait adjustments but the smartphone still points straight forward with no ability to angle the view to suit your needs. Not with this one! In fact, the adjustable function allows for 360-degree rotation for optimal viewing.
One feature that I like about the iMustech car phone holder is that the bottom part of the mount has 2 “arms” (when oriented the standard way) that cradle your electronic device to keep it securely in place.
Pretty much, you’re getting 3 points of contact — 1 on top and 2 on the bottom sides, allowing for stability. The 2 side “arms” have rubber material inside, to keep your smartphone from slipping off, and helps keep it in place. The top point of contact also has a rubber material. I think it’s just glued there, so I’m a bit worried that the rubber parts will come off eventually when the adhesive wears off and with continued use. I guess it remains to be seen, but I’m hoping it will hold.
Minimal assembly will be required, but it’s generally easy to follow even without a manual (at least I didn’t need one in my case). You should be able to figure it out easily.
