I was surprised how tiny the Ohuhu Mummy Sleeping Bag was when rolled up in its case. It’s as big as a big baby, really. It’s really hard to tell with photos, but here’s the Ohuhu sleeping bag with a ruler just to give you an idea:

That’s about a foot more or less, and about 6.5 inches wide. That’s a small size, compared to rolled up sleeping bags I’ve had in the past. I put in my hands and extended them up, just to give you another idea of how small this sleeping bag is when rolled up and on its carrying case.

This kind of size makes it really convenient to take at any trip, whether camping or vacation. We carry sleeping bags with us during vacation, just in case we needed them, but the ones we have are bulky. This Ohuhu sleeping bag, when folded and inserted in the case is only about 12 x 6 inches in size, as I’ve already mentioned previously. It’s also lighter, compared to other sleeping bags we one. Since it’s made of lightweight material, it’s easy to carry around; now even the little kids can help carry the sleeping bag to the car and help unpack as needed.

The mummy design of this Ohuhu sleeping bag works great for those cold, freezing trips when you just want to be bundled up inside from head to toe. It gives you a tighter fit, allowing the warm air to stay inside and keep you comfortable in the freezing weather. If you want your head to be really covered and tight in there, it’s also got a string to pull for that purpose (shown below).

I have not tested this on freezing temperatures (as we haven’t gone on a winter vacation yet), but according to the manufacturer, the Ohuhu sleeping bag should be able to handle at least down to 32F temperature. I can’t wait to give this a shot.

There’s a pocket inside that is a convenient feature to have. It’s got a velcro seal on it to help keep it partially closed. I’d keep a phone, as well as survival tools — such as a knife — in there for immediate access when needed. You never know what (or who) comes creeping in the dark!

The Ohuhu sleeping bag has a 2-sided zipper. The red plastic that is in the front part of the zipper is actually useful. I’ve noticed that it helps the zipper not ‘bite’ into the material. You know how annoying that can get when the zipper eats up the piece of material next to it and gets stuck.

Now, I don’t really know why it’s got another zipper at the edge, but I guess it’s a backup plan. When you roll it out of the edge, it opens up the sleeping bag from the bottom. I guess that’s good to have in case you want to just air out the bottom of your body, or expose your feet out when it’s getting too hot in there.

Now one of the challenges of sleeping bags is when you’re finished with them. I know it is for me. I can never fit them back in their original case! Surprisingly, this was easier to roll up and put away. Squeeze out the air and it will cause some type of vacuum as you put this back in the case. It’s got straps added on the case too, to help with securing the bag inside. I like that additional strap built in actually. Here’s my attempt at putting the sleeping bag back into place in its case. Not bad, right?? It was easier that other sleeping bags, I’ll tell you that!
