This Egoz Sleeping Bag came at just the right time. We are planning a vacation trip this year and this sleeping bag will come in pretty handy.
This comes in a blue exterior color and a gray interior color. Unlike the regular rectangular type of sleeping bags, this one has a hooded top section which is actually useful in keeping you warmer from head to toe.
The hood section also has a cord that you can pull to tighten, in case you need to keep your head/face warmer or want to lock in the heat inside the sleeping back while you’re sleeping in cases of cold weather conditions.
When completely laid out, the Egoz Adult Sleeping Bag stretches to about a little less than 6 feet long. It’s just the right length for my height (I’m between 5ft-7in to 5ft-8in tall). My wife and kids are shorter, so using this shouldn’t be a problem for any of them.
The Egoz Sleeping Bag has 2 sets of zippers. One that starts on the top and another one that starts in the bottom. There’s a flap on the top part that acts as a protective covering. It sticks to the other side via velcro.
I guess you can also use this to keep the 2 opposite sides of the blanket wrapped around you, in case you just want to zip down the zippers to allow for air circulation (if you get too warm, but want at least to be covered up but not zipped up completety).
Now one of the challenges of sleeping bags is when you’re finished with them. I know that is the case for me; it’s always a struggle to fit them back in their original case! Surprisingly, this was easy to roll and replace in the included case. Here is what it looked like after use and replacing the sleeping bag in the case…
I didn’t have to fight it too much, as I have done with other sleeping bags in the past where usually I ask for assistance from another person. I didn’t make a big mess at all, as you can see below. As mentioned earlier, this was easy for me to roll up and put in the case all by myself.
I’ve had sleeping bags in the past where after using them, they can no longer fit in the original bag without a lot of struggle and extra help. With the Egoz Sleeping Bag, once I secured it back in the storage case, it looked like how it came originally. Not bad!
The case has a loop that has 2-fold purposes: one to tighten the case and secure the bag inside…
… while the other use is that it comes handy for transport. You can sling this over your shoulder and you’re good to go. My only concern is that the case is made of thin material and I only notice single-stitching in the seams. I’m worried that by continually using the cord to transport the bag, it will eventually rip. So my suggestion is that unless necessary, it’s just better to carry the bag on your arms rather than the sleeping bag hanging on the cord while you sling it on your shoulders.
For an outdoor camping adventure with the family, local youth club, or church group, the Egoz Sleeping Bag is sufficient and does the job. I probably would not take the risk of using this solely for camping on subzero temperatures, but if it’s the only thing you have in an emergency situation, it’s better than nothing. For sleepovers at someone’s house or when others come over to yours, this should work well and I don’t anticipate any issues for such purposes. It’s lightweight too, so carrying it around should not be an issue for even any youth.
Be prepared for the next sleepover or camping trip. The Egoz Adult Sleeping Bag is currently available on Amazon at a 34 percent discount at the time of this writing.
