This all-in-one handheld device is an interesting concept that allows you to have fun with karaoke without the big electronic hookups and wires. It has a mic on one end and a speaker at the bottom end. At a length of a little over 8 inches, you can pretty much take this with you wherever the party is going to be! It acts as a power bank too, so you can recharge small electronic devices wherever you take this.
I have several family friends who like to turn on the karaoke machine at social gatherings in their homes, but they’re gonna be amazed once I bring this along. I haven’t seen anything like it, and I bet they’ll be surprised too! Considering that it’s a mic and a speaker in one handheld device, you can use this to project your voice in a small gathering so you can be heard better. I can see this being used in small conference rooms and offices and other smaller presentations or gatherings, such as youth gatherings and local clubs.
It’s got a built-in reverb, which I’m happy about since my poor voice needs reverb add-on to sound better! There are no reverb button controls though. However, I did see an echo feature, with a button that you can slide to turn echo on or off. Too much echo can be bad, so I probably won’t use the echo feature much.
The volume can also be adjusted from the device with the slide of a button. However, it is somewhat limited in that the range of the volume controls is not that big, even though it’s a slider button. You pretty much just get high or low volume. For better control, you’re better off using the volume settings of your other bluetooth device.
And since it’s bluetooth-enabled, it can connect to any bluetooth device. I didn’t download any Android apps to use with this device, but I assume that you’d be able to get more features out of this if you search for and take advantage of some available apps out there, such as Yokee, Smule, Musically, and others.
Now don’t expect the sound quality of the mic to be comparable to a professional mic and karaoke system. To give the device some credit, the mic sound quality is decent for its size and portability. Now as a bluetooth speaker, it sounds just as nice as other small portable bluetooth speakers that I’ve owned. If you want to watch a movie, listen to music, or play other types of media, the bluetooth speaker works well.
