If you do a lot of standing or walking for the type of job that you do, sometimes putting some insoles on your shoes can help relieve the pressure from prolonged standing/walking. FootInSole has this set of shoe inserts that are different from what I’ve tried in the past…
I think they’re made in Korea, since the support contact information has this address on the packaging:
I say that these footinsole shoe inserts are different because they are filled with liquid, instead of a solid gel material.
The liquid is contained within the darker areas seen in the photo above (except for where the toes would be). I don’t know what volume of liquid is contained in there, but be aware that it’s not fully filled. The dark areas are partially filled with liquid that can move about depending on the pressure points when you make a step.
To give you an idea of how much fluid is in there, here’s what it looks like when I squeeze out and put pressure on one end towards the sole area:
Here it is when pressure is forced and liquid is squeezed into the opposite end, towards the toe area. These photos are from the side view:
The footinsole foot relief insert pads were a good fit to my existing shoes, which is great because I didn’t have to cut off any areas with a scissor. That, I’m happy about.
PROS:
- Liquid helps provides anti-shock properties
- Feels like you’re getting a massage with each step
- Soles are made of material that “sticks” to your shoes or socks, preventing slippage as much as possible
CONS:
- Feels awkward when you are not accustomed to wearing fluid-filled insoles – It feels a little “weird” walking with these insoles. However, after some time, I guess it will just eventually feel like you’re getting a massage at the bottom of your foot with each step that you take. It’s an awkward feeling because depending on the pressure points with each step, the liquid moves to the other areas — and you can feel that “squeeshy” feeling as the movement happens. Some individuals might not like that, but I think I’m starting to like it. LOL.
- Price might be a little high – It’s currently at $29 with a 3% discount, but I wish they can lower a little more.
I hope that these footinsole Foot Relief Shoe Inserts Pads are sealed well. They appear to be, and I’ve included a close up of the sole so you can take a look with me. I guess only time will tell. The last thing I would want is to have the sole burst and have the liquid pouring out and damaging my shoes. I’m crossing my fingers!
