You may already have seen those flameless candles that some nice restaurants have started using these days. Well here’s an opportunity to bring one home for your own use.
I received this package of Kohree Flameless Candles within 2 days with Prime shipping. The package contains a total of 24 flameless candles.
What is neat about this set is that you don’t have to buy batteries separately, which is a money-saver. The package already comes with a set of 24 total batteries! (25 if you count the battery in the remote control).
Each candle is less than 1.5 inches in diameter and less than 2 inches tall. Here’s another view:
The battery compartment is located at the bottom of each candle. Snap out the cover and you’ll see the compartment inside. Make sure when you put the battery in that the positive end is the one pointing towards you — so when you looking at the battery placement, you should be staring at the “+” sign.
The power button is also located at the bottom. Just slide the button over to the right position to turn on each candle once the batteries have been secured. Don’t forget to slide the power button to the off position when you are finished with the candles. If you ask me, I’d even recommend removing the batteries when not in use for a prolonged period of time to save some power juice (=
What sets these set of Kohree Flameless Candles apart is that they come with a remote control (see photo).
You can turn the lights on and off from a distance, as well as choose features for the lights — such as candle mode (flickers) or light mode (stays on, no flickering). You can even set the timer, which is pretty neat! (4 hours or 8 hours).
When turning on/off the candles, just be aware that the remote control DOES NOT control all the 24 candle lights at once… so don’t be discouraged when you think some lights do not respond to the remote control and assume they are defective. I made that assumption initially, but they will respond. Just keep pressing the red/green button on the remote control until all the lights turn on or turn off, depending on what you are doing. A group of lights (sometimes just a couple here and there, and maybe even one) will turn on or off, until all is set and in sync.
LED lights typically last longer than other types of lights, so you should get a pretty good amount of lighting use out of each candle. One of the other advantages of using flameless candles is that the candle will never melt; there is no need to keep matches or making sure a wick can still keep a flame. The only disadvantage (if you can even call it that) is that you will need to purchase batteries when the power runs out, but that shouldn’t be until some time. (Battery type: CR2450)
As far as the looks are concerned, there’s almost no overt difference. Most of the time, it’s actually hard to tell a real wax candle from a flameless candle such as this from a distance (and even from close range, until you are close enough to see the “fake” flame. I actually think it’s not necessary to put the shape of a flame near the top of the Kohree candle, if you ask me, since it makes it more obvious that it’s not real when you are finally very close to the lights. However, one way for you to make it less obvious would be to put the candles in an bigger glass container. That’s actually what I’ve seen some restaurants do).
I know that in those restaurants that my wife and I have been to that uses these type of candles, we were only able to tell that the candles were not the “real deal” after picking up a candle and looking inside. Another way that we’ve realized the candles were a different type is when we did not get a hot, burning sensation reaching across the table with the candles below. That in itself is an advantage. If you have children, you don’t have to worry about someone getting burned or have someone accidentally knock out a candle and causing a fire. These flameless candles such as the Kohree flicker their lights just like a candle that uses wax/wick/flame, so it’s hard to tell the real deal from a distance really.
The Kohree LED Flameless Candles will work great to set the mood for those romantic surprise dinners for your spouse or girlfriend/boyfriend. (Or it can make them laugh, as in my case… but that’s all part of having a good time). The good thing is that if the person you are waiting for arrives late, the wax will never melt or burn out, so you can wait for several hours and still have these candles lit without fear (that is, of course, unless the batteries have already been depleted from previous uses).
With 24 candles available, you can pretty much make any shape or decoration with this set of Kohree LED candles.
I didn’t even use all of the candles yet… so there’s definitely room to make light designs/patterns.
