The iTECHOR T6 800 CREE LED Flashlight provides a powerful light source in a small size. It is a little over 5 inches long and a little less than 1.5 inches in its widest section, which makes it handy to keep inside the home in any drawer, leave in the garage area, or keep in the glove compartment of any vehicle.
The package comes with the following:
– T6 800 flashlight (or torch, depending on where you live)
– lanyard (already connected)
– battery adapter (if you want to use your own rechargeable battery instead of AAA batteries)
This flashlight set did not come in its own box packaging, as you can see in the photo. It was pretty much shipped on a plastic envelope, enclosed in a bubble wrap. While that may not be an issue to others, I’d prefer the extra protection of a box packaging — especially since they’d get thrown around during shipment. I’m glad this flashlight survived the trip though, LOL!
The iTECHOR T6 800 CREE LED Flashlight requires 3 AA batteries, which, unfortunately, is not included in the purchase. I wish they included generic batteries as a bonus, just like some flashlight deals these days. Luckily, I already have a good amount of stock AAA batteries at home so I was able to use this flashlight right away.
Make sure you put the AAA batteries correctly in the compartment/container (the middle accessory shown in the photo above) with the right polarities in their place. Some of the batteries will be facing opposite directions. The whole battery unit inserts back into the flashlight as shown in the photo above. Make sure you remember the direction when you take the battery holder out of the inside of the flashlight. In my case, I initially forgot which end goes first, but the good thing about the iTechor battery holder is that the compartment is marked with an arrow. The photo above also shows where the arrow is located, for your reference. It saved my butt, that’s for sure! LOL!
Turning the flashlight on is as simple as pressing the button on the end.
It is pretty bright, which is great for camping or any outdoor adventure trips when you don’t want any surprises in the dark. The light is in the white spectrum, which I prefer over the old type of flashlights that emit a low yellow light. Compared to another LED torch light that I own, this one features a zoomable lens, so you can focus the light to your preference. I’ve included the photo below so you can get an idea of the brightness/color of the light. This was shot at night with all lights off. I like how powerful it is. Below photo is in the “zoomed in” setting.
Zooming in pretty much disperses the light source, so it can light up a room for short distance sighting. I prefer zooming out because it concentrates the light source more towards a focal point. If you want to be able to see far away up the path when walking in the dark, you’d want the zoom out feature. Zoom in if you just want to see your closer, immediate surroundings. The zoom in/out switch is located on the “head” part of the flashlight. It is the green area on the flashlight shown in the photo below. It is marked with arrows also, for your quick reference.
You can also change light modes with a click of the power button. Pressing the button changes the light modes from low to high or a strobe light (quick on and off flash).
There is a clip pre-attached unto the side of the flashlight, which is useful; you can clip the flashlight on your belt or pants, or even on your backpack if you are going on a backpacking trip.
It claims to be water resistant. However, as with any other electrical devices who claim the same, I would take care not to soak it in water to be on the safe side — unless you had no other choice. You don’t want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with a dead flashlight because you jumped on the river with this on, for example.
