As a graphic designer, I like the clean and simple, but effective, look of the Etherno logo. But that’s just a side note…

I’m not really here to feature the logo, but to let you know about the Etherno Barbecue Oven Safety Cooking Gloves.

The Etherno is a one-size-fits-all set of gloves. It fits my wife and my own hands without any problem, so we can both use it as needed.

The gloves are made out of natural silicone, and according to the maker, they can handle temperatures up to 476 degrees Fahrenheit. That covers pretty much most of what is typically cooked, so this should be sufficient for your kitchen needs.

One advantage of these silicone gloves over the traditional mitt is that they don’t have to be thicker to protect your hands from the heat. They are easier to handle and store, as they are less bulky. They are flexible too. I feel more comfortable using these over the traditional oven mitts, since I am able to grip with these better and hold items more securely. With the older mitts, I always worried about items slipping out of my hands.

These Etherno gloves are not bad at all and I’d recommended them. I was not sure at first if they would actually work, but was surprised. I carried a baking pan straight from the oven at high temperature and didn’t even feel it through the gloves.

By the way, my girls likes the little heart designs on the gloves too!
