This next item doesn’t look like your typical battery/power bank. From afar, it looks like a miniature radio/speaker, if you ask me. Its rugged look is because it is meant for the outdoors. I am referring to the Krazilla R800 Outdoor Rugged Travel Battery Pack shown below:
Unboxed, the package should contain the following:
– the power bank
– USB power cord
– instruction manual (not shown)
The box container is padded with foam inside, so the Krazilla should arrive without any issues during shipment.
Its internal workings are protected from the elements. All the buttons are covered with a rubber-type protective covering, making the Krazilla Travel Battery Pack resistant from rain or other particles that could damage the unit. Of course, don’t go swimming with this on you even though it says waterproof — unless you want to buy another one! The power input/output ports are hidden with a rubber cover so that they are not exposed to potential damage. To access the ports, just pull out the protective covering as shown:
It holds about 7800 mAH of power in its bank, which is a big amount for most small devices. It’s at least twice the capacity than some of my other portable battery power banks. Here’s a photo of the specifications to even give you more idea of what you’re getting:
The included USB cable allows for recharging of the power bank so that it’s ready for your next fill-up. You can use the same USB cord to either charge your small electronic devices, or to recharge the Krazilla to store power for future use. Just insert the cord on the appropriate port, depending on your needs.
By the way, a good BONUS feature is that the Krazilla Travel Battery Pack comes with a built-in LED flashlight. The light is located on one side of the Krazilla R800, opposite the button that controls it.
The brightness of the light can be adjusted, just by clicking on the light button. Click once to turn it on. When you click the second time, the light becomes brighter. When you hold down the button the next time, it will imitate an SOS signal. Just note that because of the protective covering, you might have to press harder than usual. The light output has a hint of blue, but I prefer that over yellow lights. They appear brighter.
By the way, you can tell how much power is left in the battery bank by looking at the row of lights in the device. When you press the power button, the row will light up with a bluish color depending on how much is left. This is a handy way to tell when it’s about time to recharge the Krazilla R800.
The Krazilla Travel Battery Pack is perfect for those outdoor adventure/nature trips (such as hiking, camping, etc) where there’s a risk of getting wet or being exposed to the elements. It will provide that backup power source (and light) that may be needed. You can find out more information about this Krazilla on Amazon where it is being sold.
