You will get:
(1) The Headset
The headphone is adjustable to give you the right fit that you need. Just pull down the sides to adjust the length. Make sure you don’t grab the earpiece/muff directly, or you will risk breaking off the earpiece. Hold the shiny silver/gray colored band on the headband with one hand while you pull down on the frame of the earpiece with the other hand. You are allocated about an inch of adjustment on each side.
The earpiece/ear-pad is well padded with a soft foam, for that extra comfort. It’s covered in what appears to be soft leather. The headband that would touch your head is also covered with soft foam. During testing, I asked my wife if she could hear my music/video and she couldn’t. The earpiece/ear-pad provides good sound isolation too. It cuts down the noise from the outside, so you can hear everything that you need to. Each ear-piece is labeled L and R on the inside.
(2) The Storage Bag
The included storage bag is a good bonus to have! It’s large enough to hold the headphone and its accessories, so you can take this with you on trips without having to find a case for it. It seems to be covered with that soft leather too, which gives it that extra protection. It’s got a drawstring on the top to secure the items inside.
(3) The USB Cord and 3.5mm jack cable
You can charge the headphones on the go using the included USB cord. If you have a laptop or a power adapter that takes a USB cord, then you can bring this with you anywhere knowing you can recharge at any time. I wish the USB cord was longer, as it seems to be too short for my liking. However, it does what it’s supposed to do. If you need a longer cord, you can use any of the ones you have around the home or office. The 3.5mm Jack cable has controls on it, so you can make adjustments to volume, choose songs, or answer calls if needed. The good thing about this headphones is that you have a wired option if you need it. This is great because you may not always use the wireless bluetooth feature! For example, if you run out of battery on the Riwbox XBT-780 Bluetooth Headphone, you don’t need to worry because the headphones will still work when you connect the wire directly to your device. I like knowing that I’m covered no matter what!
The inputs are located on the bottom part of the earpads. One has the USB port, while the other has the 3.5mm audio cable input, as you can see in the photo above. The controls while using the wireless bluetooth option is located on the backside of the R earpiece frame where the headband is. I prefer where they are located now on the right side rather than on the left hand since I am R-handed, and I’d be better at controlling the buttons with my R-hand.
By the way, you will hear a female voice telling you “Power On” or “Power Off” or “Connected” whenever you use the headphones. This is definitely an advantage because I no longer need to guess whether the headphone was powered on correctly or not! I’ve had issues with similar devices that didn’t have this feature and it’s annoying having to sort things out!
One of my kids accidentally dropped the Riwbox XBT-780 Bluetooth Headphone once on our tiled floor, but I’m glad it didn’t sustain any major damage and it’s still working as expected.
