It’s summer time once again… and for those who love the water, that means it’s swimming time! Don’t go to the pool without bringing with you a good pair of swimming goggles such as this nice-looking set by Aegend.

It comes in a simple brown packaging box, but the beauty of it is found on the inside! The Aegend swimming goggles is a professional set — not like the “toys” found in your local neighborhood store. It comes in a clear and gray protective case, which is a nice bonus to have, I must say. Even the case itself is meant to protect the goggles inside and holds the googles pretty securely. You have to first twist a gray “knob” (see knob with the arrow on the photo below) in order to unlock the case and access the goggles inside.

Once you have twisted in the direction of the arrow, you can then open the clear case. I got too excited that I didn’t even bother to pay attention and missed the arrow completely… and I couldn’t, for the life of me, open it, since I was attempting to open the case just like your typical eye glass case. This case lock is a unique feature that I have not seen with other goggle purchases to date. This type of protection means that your curious little ones won’t be able to play around with the goggles without your permission. I like that! LOL.

On the goggles itself, another locking mechanism is found in the back. That is the round-looking “button” that you see in the photo below.

Press it and the band/strap disengages, allowing you to wrap the band around you like a necklace. This comes in handy once you have adjusted the goggles already for proper use and just want to leave it around your neck. You don’t have to “stretch” the band to pull it down your neck. Just snap it and around it goes!

The strap also has a locking mechanism on both sides to allow you to adjust the band easily for your individual use. The strap is made of silicone, not rubber, and is comfortable to use.

If you look closely at the eye-piece, you will notice that the lenses are pretty clear! That means that what you will see with the goggles on is actually what the object looks like naturally. I hated those cheap toy goggles that distort the view or give objects a different hue or color. I didn’t have to worry about that with this one. The lenses offer UV protection too, so that is good!

The maker of the Aegend swimming goggles claim that theirs is anti-shatter, anti-fog, anti-leak… all of which are features that I’d like to have for my goggles. I’m pretty confident that those claims are true, but as an extra assurance, I am glad that they offer a hassle-free replacement or full refund within 12 MONTHS. That’s good to know, just in case.
